Now that many of our clients are out of state, with either them coming to Wilmington NC for their weddings, or us traveling to shoot their wedding- It’s high time to write a blog post to showcase one of our albums. More often it seems that our entire pre-wedding interaction is emails, phone calls and FaceTime! Pictures can always show what we offer much better than a jumbled explanation from me of how awesome your album will be! The album company we use for our Lay Flat / Flush Mount collection is Leather Craftsman, and I can’t say enough about the quality of their construction, printing, and service! Incorporating learned skills from a fifth generation custom bookbinder, combined with the use of the finest quality materials, Leather Craftsmen has been proudly producing wedding albums for nearly 70 years. This particular album is a 20 side (10 page), 10″ x 10″, leather bound beauty. If leather isn’t quite your thing, we can always substitute Japanese book cloth for the cover. The images are printed directly onto each page, and our design aesthetic is always clean, crisp, and timeless. We want your album to be an heirloom that you will cherish forever. Not something that will look totally dated in 10 years. To that end we like to keep things simple, and let your images take center stage! Enjoy-

I recently flew out to Fort Collins, Colorado to shoot Morgan and Ben’s engagement session. It was AMAZINGLY fun, and I can’t wait for their wedding in June! Seriously, how cute are these two?? Not only were they super cool to work with, but we fit more into a half day than I thought was possible. Around lunchtime we drove up into Rocky Mountain National Park. My mouth was probably hanging open the whole time in awe of our surroundings. Thankfully Morgan and Ben knew where we were headed because it seemed like one minute we were climbing alongside half frozen waterfalls, and then hiking out onto frozen alpine lakes the next. We even had 3 sets of snowshoes just in case… We topped the day off by finishing the shoot at the New Belgium Microbrewery- most famous for it’s Fat Tire Ale. Incredible. If huge mountains and great beer doesn’t say Colorado, than I don’t know what does. Enjoy, and don’t forget to go like the EBP Facebook page!

0 Katy did an awesome job shooting this Save The Date session, and I am so thankful that she is part of our team! Lizzy and Caleb are celebrating their wedding in Asheville, NC and we couldn’t be more proud to be shooting it! Not only are they an awesome couple, but Lizzy just happens to be Katy’s sister. As you can see Lizzy and Caleb are so sweet and I can’t wait to celebrate their day with them this August! I hope you enjoy these, and don’t forget to like Eric Boneske Photography on Facebook (here)! It always means a lot
B&W film is always so fun to work with! I went out just north of Wilmington to scout a location that I’ll be photographing a bridal session in shortly. I generally like to get a feel for a location beforehand and will often bring my camera to see what the light is doing during the time we’re supposed to be there. This time I took a roll of black and white film instead of the digital. This wedding is going to be chock full of rustic details, so I wanted to tie that into the bridal session somehow. Along with some other fun details, I wanted to get a few images that I could develop to look like they’ve been around forever and just recently found in an old shoe box or forgotten dresser drawer. What better way to do that than with the materials that were only available to a past generation. All of these shots are straight out of camera.. the beauty of film- no editing! I’ll probably have 3 or 4 of these on hand this weekend- but I liked all of them and wanted to share!
Shooting wedding photography in Wilmington is always fun, but we love to travel too! Back in October we flew out to Napa, CA to shoot an engagement session for one of our fantastic couples at the Trefethen Winery and it’s surrounds. After the shoot we took a little trip up into the Sierra’s- specifically to Lake Tahoe. Here are a few images that I shot around one of my favorite places out there: Emerald Bay. We shot from about 11:00 pm to 1:00 am and it was PITCH black. I used super long exposures (13 to 26 seconds) to give the look of dusk while keeping the stars bright in the sky. Let me know what you think in the comments below and don’t forget to like EBP on Facebook (here). Thanks!!
This summer a few friends of ours started a Wilmington NC wedding videography company. We worked together on a number of weddings and here is a promo reel for a few of those. If you are interested in videography, let us know and we’ll be happy to send along their contact information. To get a feel for the awesome work they do, check out the video below!
