Windy Point Wedding Photography // Jamie and Daniel

Get ready for a real show stopper of a coastal-rustic North Carolina wedding! Jamie and Daniel planned the perfect mix of southern class and low country ambiance. The ceremony took place inside of a small chapel in Holden Beach. From there, the bridal party made it’s way down the Intracoastal Waterway in boats to arrive in style at their outdoor reception on Windy Point. As it’s plain to see, everyone had such a great time, and we wish Jamie and Daniel the very, very best. It was an honor to document your day for you!!

The Wellspring Initiative in action…

Towards the end of 2011, we decided that although shooting weddings was a lot of fun, helping people in need was even better. So after putting a few pieces in place, we launched the Wellspring Initiative. It’s only goal is to provide clean filtered drinking water to people of Cameroon, Africa. We do this through the proceeds of each wedding we book. So everyone that chooses Eric Boneske Photography has a hand in dramatically improving the living conditions of families half a world away. The most recent family Wellspring was able to provide a water filtration system to was Roger, Julie and their three children; Ruth, Abiezer, and Julienne (below). It’s been said that in Cameroon, 95% of disease comes through unfiltered water, both ground water, and city water. It is our hope to be able to help as many families as possible by giving them the means to clean water. We are honored and blessed to be able to help in this way! Wilmington NC Bridal Photography

For this rustic themed Wilmington bridal session, I went out on a limb and brought Pearl the chicken along. We were shooting in an old farm field with weathered buildings and cool, earthy details. It seemed like the perfect fit to me- luckily Jamie thought so too! Pearl hung out with us for the most part, but mostly just wandered around. Oh, and she even laid an egg in the basket while Jamie held her. I think they felt pretty comfortable with each other I also shot B&W film to continue with the rustic theme. All the B&W’s you see were shot on 400 speed Kodak film- which when shot in bright daylight creates an awesome graininess in the image that is impossible get with digital- And looks completely timeless, in my opinion! Wedding Album Review // Wilmington NC Wedding Photography

Now that many of our clients are out of state, with either them coming to Wilmington NC for their weddings, or us traveling to shoot their wedding- It’s high time to write a blog post to showcase one of our albums. More often it seems that our entire pre-wedding interaction is emails, phone calls and FaceTime! Pictures can always show what we offer much better than a jumbled explanation from me of how awesome your album will be! The album company we use for our Lay Flat / Flush Mount collection is Leather Craftsman, and I can’t say enough about the quality of their construction, printing, and service! Incorporating learned skills from a fifth generation custom bookbinder, combined with the use of the finest quality materials, Leather Craftsmen has been proudly producing wedding albums for nearly 70 years. This particular album is a 20 side (10 page), 10″ x 10″, leather bound beauty. If leather isn’t quite your thing, we can always substitute Japanese book cloth for the cover. The images are printed directly onto each page, and our design aesthetic is always clean, crisp, and timeless. We want your album to be an heirloom that you will cherish forever. Colorado Engagement Shoot // Morgan and Ben

I recently flew out to Fort Collins, Colorado to shoot Morgan and Ben’s engagement session. It was AMAZINGLY fun, and I can’t wait for their wedding in June! Seriously, how cute are these two?? Not only were they super cool to work with, but we fit more into a half day than I thought was possible. Around lunchtime we drove up into Rocky Mountain National Park. My mouth was probably hanging open the whole time in awe of our surroundings. Thankfully Morgan and Ben knew where we were headed because it seemed like one minute we were climbing alongside half frozen waterfalls, and then hiking out onto frozen alpine lakes the next. We even had 3 sets of snowshoes just in case… We topped the day off by finishing the shoot at the New Belgium Microbrewery- most famous for it’s Fat Tire Ale. Incredible. If huge mountains and great beer doesn’t say Colorado, than I don’t know what does. Enjoy, and don’t forget to go like the EBP Facebook page!
