Wrightsville Beach Family Photographer // My kids!

Posted on January 4, 2012      by Eric

It’s sort of funny how little I photograph my own family.  You would think the opposite would be true, but sadly it’s not…  I guess, even when you love your work, sometimes the last thing you want to do in your down time is more of the same.  After some thought, I decided that I wasn’t going to let 2011 end without documenting our little ones.  One of the Christmas gifts to my wife this year was a series of black and white photographs of Dakota and Indie. Earlier in the month I took them down to Wrightsville Beach to let them explore and capture them just being themselves. No posing, just wandering, running, playing in the sand, and being curious. It was a great time, and here are a few of my favorites…

The fact that you can hang out at the beach in nothing but jeans and a sweater in December is just wrong! Aside from that, love the pictures! (and I bet Missy did, too) Love, love, LOVE the one of Dakota looking at you in crisp focus, Indie soft focused and looking off in the distance – gorgeous!
