Off Shore Engagement Session // Hannah and Christian

Posted on August 20, 2012      by Eric

For Hannah and Christian’s engagement session, we went out into the open waters off of Wrightsville Beach NC where we were shooting in about 30 feet of ocean water. Enough to not be able to see the bottom, and also enough make you wonder every once in a while what may be lurking below. Although the water wasn’t as clear as we had originally hoped for, we quickly realized that the dreamlike quality of the underwater shots we were getting were much cooler than we could have hoped for. The images turned out soft and gorgeous and perfect for Hannah and Christian- check out what we got below and like us on Facebook here!

Wow. These are the coolest engagement photos I’ve seen. Amazing work! What kind of camera did you use in the water?

Hey Amy, Thanks! I used my Canon 5D mk2 with a 24-70 f2.8 lens. I had an underwater housing on the camera and flash which allowed me to shoot above and below the water and still get great full-frame images.
