Summer is upon us and we are in full swing for wedding season! It’s like these weddings just get more and more beautiful… and Sam and Mike’s Airlie Gardens wedding was a real showstopper. First of all, let’s talk about the bridal party that these two sweethearts showed up with- this one just about took the cake for the largest amount of bridesmaids and groomsmen we’ve worked with in a single day! And how fun is it that Sam had her Grandma by her side as one of her matrons of honor?? (and she was a real hoot!) From getting ready, to the brides first look with her father (wow!) to the gorgeous ceremony under Airlie Gardens famed Airlie Oak, to the off the wall reception at Bakery 105, this wedding was pure perfection. Take a look below and let us know what you think! And if you are thinking about a Bakery 105 or Airlie Gardens wedding, I’d love to share my thoughts on how to make your day the best it can be. We photograph weddings at each of these places many times a year, and it is always so much fun! Enjoy these images, and don’t forget to check out the vendors who helped make this day amazing down below!

This Airlie Gardens wedding was perfection. Carly and Dillon were so much fun to work with all the way from their hot air balloon engagement session (here!) to this gorgeous southern garden wedding day. Airlie Gardens is one of Wilmington’s best wedding venues if you are looking for the quintessential southern wedding, and with the help of Social Butterfly Events for design and coordination, this couple did it right! Congratulations Carly and Dillon- Your day was a perfect example of why I love photographing weddings in Airlie Gardens!
Tucked away in the back of Airlie Gardens is the Lebanon Chapel, one of the most picturesque spots for a Wilmington wedding. Jacqueline and Joey’s wedding was perfect right down to the last detail, thanks to Fiore Fine Flowers, who brought the couples ideas to reality. But even better than the beautiful design of this wedding day was their sincere and intentional love for one another. It’s one of the things I loved about them right from our first meeting. I wish them all the best- and hope for many, many amazing years together!
The perfectly quaint little chapel nestled deep inside Airlie Gardens recently opened up as a wedding ceremony venue and it may be my new favorite place to shoot. Soft light pours through the hundred year old windows, unfinished wooden floors lead to old pews, and all tie in together to create a beautifully simple space!
Tiffany and Wes share a love of the water so it was only fitting that it was incorporated into their Airlie Gardens wedding day. From the coastal design motif, to their secret sunset spot, to their awesome and unique exit- this day was totally them. It didn’t hurt that they were totally in love and savored every minute of this excellent day! Congratulations Tiffany and Wes, you guys are the best!!
