Bakery 105 weddings are always so much fun, and beautiful as well. Bakery 105, located in Wilmington NC’s historic downtown area is another one of Wilmington’s great story of rebirth and renovation- the old warehouse sat vacant and in disrepair for years before it was purchased and given new life as a wedding and event space on the corner of Orange and Front St. Bakery 105, or just ‘Bakery’ as it is known to wedding vendors, quickly became one of the most beautiful downtown wedding venues in Wilmington. With giant vaulted ceilings, exposed brick, a large outdoor courtyard and urban southern character everywhere you look, this wedding spot is an absolute must see if you are planning to get married in southeastern NC and considering the historic downtown area. The large event space both indoors and out makes it the perfect venue larger weddings, and the amazing natural light that pours through the sky light windows is a photographers dream and a beautiful place for engagement, bridal and wedding photography. Just walking around Bakery 105 for a few minutes will make this wedding venue a top of the list option if you are looking for a downtown Wilmington wedding venue with the options for both indoor weddings and outdoor weddings as well. The Bakery 105 owners are always incredibly helpful, and we always love shooting weddings here. It is one of the few downtown Wilmington wedding venues that can host larger weddings, with easy proximity to hotels, restaurants and breweries so your guests will have plenty to see and do leading up to and after the wedding. And although Bakery 105 is known for it’s character and flexible space, it also sits in a really neat spot in the downtown area so there are many options for photography during a wedding day- many within walking distance. Especially the waterfront river walk. Bakery 105 is just 1 block from the Cape Fear river which makes this wedding venue a favorite for photographers and couples alike. Of all the different spots inside and around Bakery 105 to have your wedding ceremony, my favorite is in front of the giant exposed brick wall and the vaulted ceilings inside. Then send your guests out to the courtyard for cocktail hour while the staff flip the wedding ceremony space into what will then be used as the reception area. In my opinion, It is the perfect backdrop for gorgeous Bakery 105 weddings.
