Figure 8 Island weddings at the Figure 8 Island Yacht Club are absolutely beautiful, especially from a wedding photographers perspective.  The club on Figure 8 Island is one of the first things you notice after you cross the iconic swing bridge that allows residents and club members access to the area. One of the events the Figure 8 Island Yacht Club offers is hosting weddings to it’s members or friends of members.   It has become one of the most beautiful Intracoastal wedding venues in the Wilmington area.  With giant giant windows overlooking the water, and easy intracoastal waterway access, this wedding spot is a definite must see if you are planning to get married in Wilmington and considering a waterfront wedding.  The event space both indoors and out makes it the perfect venue for weddings and receptions of approximately 100-175 guests comfortably, and the wrap around porches, grassy areas and proximity to the water make this a photographers dream- and a beautiful place for engagement, bridal and wedding photography.  Just walking the Figure 8 Island Yacht Club grounds for a few minutes will make this wedding venue a top of the list option if you are looking for a waterfront wedding venue.  The Figure 8 Island Yacht Club staff work hard to make sure the day goes off without a hitch, and we always love shooting weddings here.  It is one of the few Wilmington wedding venues that you need a membership to access but if you are able to secure a date the rest is easy.  Everything from ceremony to reception can be held here.  And although the Figure 8 Island Yacht Club is known for it’s character and views, it also sits in a really neat spot Intracoastal Waterway so there are many options for photography during a wedding day- many within walking distance.  Figure 8 Island weddings continue to be some of our favorite weddings to photograph!
