If anyone knows me, they know that Northern California, and Lake Tahoe wedding photography especially, holds a special place in my heart. So I was thrilled when Bailey and Ryan asked me to photograph their wedding there. At the time of their wedding, the Mariposa Wildfire was burning close to Yosemite and the whole area was hazy- so the typical bright blue Tahoe sky was hidden. But it also gave the surrounding mountains and meadows a soft, beautiful feel you don’t usually see in the high Sierra. All in all it was an incredible day, the wedding was beautiful and the celebration was a party I won’t soon forget! Congratulations Bailey and Ryan- you guys were so much fun to work with!
Ashley and Adam love being active. While we were talking about their wedding they mentioned that one of their favorite things to do together was taking the kayaks out on the water. We all agreed that there could be some really cool photo possibilities there and built their engagement session around that idea. It was a perfect fall day just before the holidays. We went out early in the morning to get the best conditions and light on the lake for what I had in mind. And I’ve got to hand it to Adam, he was a real trooper- he had just worked an overnight shift at the nuclear plant down in Southport where he works… But we all had a blast- I hope you enjoy these and don’t forget to leave a comment in the section below!!
