This was an idea that I’ve had in my head for a while now! I’m by no means the first person to think of tying the idea of getting married to ‘taking the plunge’ or ‘jumping in’ to a body of water, but boy was it fun to try to pull off! Brett and Melissa were so awesome to work with. When I pitched the idea to them, I really hoped they would take me up on it, although I had an inkling that they would… (we’re shooting their wedding in a few weeks, and part of their wedding package includes a trash-the-dress surf session the day after the wedding!) After an amazing morning of shooting beneath ancient Live Oak trees and Spanish Moss this was such a great way finish the day. For this part of the shoot I played director more than anything, with my good friend and fellow EBP photographer/videographer Jason Andre getting all of the underwater action. My in-laws were gracious enough to allow us free reign of their property and pool. From the very beginning, I had this picture in my mind of Melissa and Brett kissing in front of the single pool light, back-lit, and serene… we had to wait until nightfall to get it, but it paid off! Let me know what you think in the comments section below!
Kristin and Scott looked amazing for their wedding in Wilmington NC! Scott is active duty Navy and is currently stationed overseas. Thankfully, he had the opportunity to be back in the States for this beautiful day. Their intimate ceremony and celebration was a great way to end the month of July! Although they had their wedding ceremony on Wrightsville Beach at the popular Shell Island Resort, the couple wanted to do a First Look by the tidal creek that empties into the intracoastal waterway opposite the ocean. It was gorgeous. With their closest family and friends present, Kristin and Scott celebrated their new life together. It was an honor to be part of this day, and I wish you both the best! Don’t forget to leave a comment, y’all!!
